Working in partnership with refugee communities, the After School Homework Support program delivers one-on-one tutoring and academic assistance to help children excel in school.

The program aims to provide help to underprivileged children who cannot afford to pay for tutoring. Most often these children do not have the necessary education they need and have trouble adjusting to the Canadian education system due to language and cultural barriers. By sharing in their fundamental right to education with these children, our volunteers help these children build a solid foundation in all subjects (incl. maths, sciences and English) when they would otherwise have no one to help them adjust and keep up with the new learning.

After School Homework Support also aims to provide educational support and guidance especially to young girls who never received proper education in their home countries before coming to Canada.
